Migrate off Kajabi — what actually replaces what
Kajabi is one invoice for four jobs: email, funnels, checkout, and a player. Leaving is not “pick a cheaper LMS.” It is naming which job you still need, and which host actually sells that job tonight. Public Basic is $179/mo. This is a map, not a rant about January 13.

Who stays and who leaves is already on best course platform after the Kajabi price hike. The vendor page is Kajabi (2026). This page is the stack map. It is not a click-by-click move. Kajabi’s own export tools are backups for Kajabi, not a portable school package.

Stay — the OS is the product
You still run sales page, email, funnels, checkout, and delivery in one login. Splitting those four jobs across four invoices is not a savings. It is a different architecture.
Keep Kajabi if
Unlimited marketing emails, landing pages, and funnels on the public grid are the reason you opened the tab. Basic is $179 / $143. No extra platform percentage on Kajabi Payments.
Not a reason to stay
Sunk cost. A community you never opened. “All-in-one” as a vibe. Founder and Beta Invite are the official price-change exemptions, not a loophole we can price.
Replace the player
Email and checkout already work elsewhere — or you will keep them elsewhere. You needed a school, not the OS.

Do not replace with
Teachable Starter because $39 looks like relief. The 7.5% is the product. LearnWorlds Starter $29 + $5/enrollment if enrollments will stack.
Replace the other tabs
The player was never why you paid $179. The list, the funnel, the room, or the CRM was.

Podia if you still want an all-in-one cheaper than Basic — Mover $49 + 5% and 100 email subscribers. GoHighLevel if the work is CRM/funnels — Starter $97/mo. Skool / Circle / Mighty if the offer is a room, a branded community, or a branded membership.
Do not pretend

Existing Heroes hit the new rate on the first billing date on or after January 13, 2026. Tonight’s public Basic is $179/mo month-to-month, $143/mo billed annually. That is the floor of the OS, not a player price. If you only used the player, you were already overpaying before the hike. If you used email + funnels + checkout + player, you are shopping four replacements, not one.

What you can actually take with you
Kajabi help is backup, not a mover. Official “Back up site content”: export product templates, landing-page templates, and contacts; download videos to a hard drive; blog posts cannot be exported or downloaded — copy them by hand. Tip on that page: export regularly. It does not offer a one-click school on Thinkific or Teachable.
- Contacts. Official export: Contacts tab → Bulk Actions → Export. CSV emailed to the account address. Download within 3 days; the link expires. Contact export is limited to the contacts limit of your plan. That is a list, not automations, not purchase history, not a mapped import into another ESP.
- Course template. Official: Customize → Product Template → Export as zip. Email link expires in 7 days. Same help: import onto a different site on Kajabi or share the template with a friend. It is not SCORM. Official product-export FAQ: you can export a Course Template; product properties and content need a manual backup.
- Landing pages. Official: Website → Pages → Export. Zip emailed; link expires in 7 days. Same article: import onto another Kajabi site or share as a template. It is not a ClickFunnels or HighLevel funnel file.
- Videos. Admin download from Video Actions on a lesson or a page video block. Original files on a drive. Students do not get this path unless you enable downloads separately (that help is a different article; we are not writing it here).
Circle’s pricing FAQ advertises payment, course, and Email Hub migrations, eligibility varying by plan. LearnWorlds’ pricing page: done-for-you migration on request; vendor copy lists Kajabi among platforms they have moved customers off. Those are destination-vendor services. We did not extract a public dollar, a scope, or a guarantee. HighLevel help documents a Kajabi-to-HighLevel contact CSV path; we are not reprinting another vendor’s playbook as ours.
We could not cite an official Kajabi article that exports student progress, active subscriptions, or email automations as a portable file. Those lines are omitted. Do not cancel first and then look for the zip.

The four jobs still live in one login. Public Basic is $179/mo. Use Kajabi Payments on a new plan if it is available — no extra platform percentage; US cards 2.9%+$0.30 on Basic. Stay on a legacy plan only as the official trade: same features and limits, new price point, no 3rd-party surcharge, no new-plan extras. We cannot cite your legacy dollar. The hike page is who still belongs.
Leave to Thinkific Basic if

The interactive player is the reason to move. Pro Trainer $99 / $79 drops the $5. Full Interactive Video Editor features start at Learning Center ($299 / $249). Mass-email credits are not Kajabi unlimited. SCORM is on Pro Trainer+ (20 packages) and unlimited on Learning Center — Kajabi is not SCORM.

You still want courses, community, coaching, email, a site, and checkout in one cheaper all-in-one. Shaker $99 / $84 is the first Podia plan that drops the 5%.
